Ida Elizabeth
Reed, age 71 of Old Fields, WV passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at her
residence.She was born in Ketterman, WV
on August 30, 1937, the daughter of the late John Jacob and Sarah Delilah
VanMeter Self.Ida was married to Darl
Lofton, Sr. who survives in Spotsylvania,
VA and was preceded in death by
her second husband, Ben Reed, March 8, 1994.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and
was a homemaker.
Ida is
survived by: a daughter, Sally Malcolm and husband Mark, Old Fields, WV; a son,
Darl Lofton, Ashland, VA; 2 Sisters, Jane Miller, Petersburg, WV, Mary Alice
Peterson, Zwolle, LA; 3 Grandchildren, Brandi Martinez and husband Manual,
Tiffany Malcolm and Jennifer Lofton; and 4 Great-Grandchildren, Todd Stocking,
Alisha Stocking, Brittany Larkin and Kevin Larkin.
Family will
receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV.Elder Stephen Kimble will conduct funeral
services on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.Interment will be in SouthBranchValleyMemorialGardens,
Petersburg, WV.
