Wilbur Harold Nelson, Jr., age 56 of Nella’s Nursing Home in Crystal Springs, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown,  WV. He was born in Harrisonburg, VA on November 10, 1952, the son of the late Wilbur Harold Nelson, Sr. (1-11-1987) and Beatrice Rebecca Greathouse Nelson of Baker, WV. On March 22, 1994, Wilbur married Karen Ann Hevener, who survives at Nella’s Nursing Home in Crystal Springs, WV. He worked at Hanover Shoe Company in Franklin, WV and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
In addition to his Wife and Mother, Mr. Nelson is survived by: Three Sisters; Sandra Kay Nelson, Nella’s Nursing Home, Crystal Springs, WV, Crystal Dawn Nelson, Baker, WV and Johnnie Charlotte Nelson, Baker, WV. In addition to his Father, Wilbur was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Bennett (9-4-07) and a Sister, Rhonda L. Brewster.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2009 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, with Rev. Roger Elza officiating. Burial will be in Doe Hill Cemetery, Doe Hill, VA. Memorials may be made to Nella’s Nursing Home, Crystal Springs, WV.
