James Lough

James Abraham “Jim” Lough, age 80, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Avante Nursing Home in Harrisonburg, VA.  Mr. Lough was born in Mozer, WV on April 18, 1929, the son of the late John Daniel and Mamie Heavener Lough.  On July 31, 1958 he married Audrey Evelene Snyder, who survives in Harrisonburg, VA.  After 32 years of service, he retired as a foreman in 1991 from Brockway Plastic.  Jim was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church in Lacey Springs, VA and a graduate of Franklin High School.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lough is survived by:  2 Sons, John Allen Lough and Wife Lou Anne, New Market, VA, and Jeff Scott Lough, Upper Tract,WV; A Sister, Mary Anderson and Husband George, Upper Tract, WV; A Brother, George Lough, Blacksburg, VA and 2 Grandchildren, Nicholas James Lough and Allyson Dana Lough.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2009 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV.  Rev. Edgar Null and Rev. Terry Frank will conduct funeral services on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in the Lough Cemetery in Kline, WV.  Military graveside services will be provided by Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.  Memorial donations may be made to Generations Crossing, 3765 Taylor Spring Lane, Harrisonburg, VA  22801.

I sure am glad I came last night to see y'all and pay my respects to
"Brother Jimmy", even if it was just for a little short while. It was
more worth the trip, what a beautiful drive, plus it was wonderful to see the
family after so many years. I know Jimmy will be missed, but you can bet he's
having one big awesome time now! I will remember him as a very kind man and
talented woodworker, w/ a bit of a hidden sense of humor. I will keep y'all in
my thoughts & prayers.
