Nola Rebecca (Bland) Harper, age 92 passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her residence in Franklin, WV. Nola was born in Riverton, WV on  March 8, 1917, the daughter of the late Kenny and Annie Vandevander Bland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Glenn Harper on November 9, 1972. She attended North Fork Apostolic Church and was a homemaker.
Nola is survived by: Two Daughters, Madeline Joy Tusing and Husband Curtis, Dayton, VA, Kitty Ann Simmons and Husband Jerry, Bridgewater, VA; A Foster Daughter, Nora May Riggleman, Franklin, WV; A son, Frank Harper and Wife Anita, Franklin, WV; A Sister, Ona Bland Warner, Riverton, WV; Two Brothers, Guy Bland and Wife Louise, Riverton, WV, Stanley Bland and Wife Rosie, Chardon, OH; Five Grandchildren, Three Step Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren, 5 Step Great-Grandchildren and Three Great-Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by; an infant daughter; Two Brothers, Russell and Thurman; and Two Sisters, Kate Bland and Sudie Nelson.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2009 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Rev. Calvin Bailey will conduct funeral services on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Harper Family Cemetery on South Fork Mountain, Franklin, WV.
