William “Bill” Glover, age 85 passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his residence in Franklin, WV. Mr. Glover was born in Franklin, WV on March 1, 1924, the son of the late Delilah Catherine Lough (March 12, 1975) and Homer Glover, Sr (October 25, 1972). On April 6, 1952 he married Joan Dahmer, who survives in Franklin. He was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church, the VFW, American Legion, and was a World War II US Army Veteran. Mr. Glover Co-Founded Glover Auto Supply in 1946 and B & H Hardware in 1969, retiring in 1985.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by: 3 Daughters, Joanette “Joni” Koliscak and Husband Malcolm, Franklin, WV, Cindy DiFalco and Husband Mark, Franklin, WV, Abby Sites and Husband Paul, Franklin, WV; A son, William Eric Glover and Wife Lynn, Franklin, WV; 3 Brothers, John S. Glover and Wife Frances, Franklin, Homer Glover Jr., Beckley, WV, Denny Glover and Wife Genevieve, Franklin, WV; 8 Grandchildren, Lindsey Koliscak, Cory Koliscak, Brian DiFalco and Wife Jamie, Andrea DiFalco, Justin Cox, Sarah Soper and Husband Jason, Ashley Harris, Kelsey Harris; and 7 Great-Grandchildren, Mason DiFalco, Cayson Armstrong, Kirsten Soper, Jaylen Flesher, Jenna Flesher, Jubilee Soper, and Karis Soper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers, Curtis L. Glover, J. Edward Glover; 2 Sisters, Cornelia Glover and Wanda Sponaugle.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2009 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Rev. Kevin L. Hand will conduct funeral services on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Franklin Rescue Squad or Franklin Volunteer Fire Department.
