Gwen Barbara Kennedy, age 69 of Redford, Michigan, formerly of Franklin, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington, Michigan. Ms. Kennedy was born on October 15, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Margaret Lucy Armstrong McEwen and Loren Howard McEwen. Gwen married Richard Kennedy on July 20, 1981 who preceded her in death on May 17, 1991. She graduated High School in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Kennedy was a waitress and cook in the food service industry, also having worked in the Deli at Franklin IGA. She was a catholic.
Ms. Kennedy is survived by: 2 Daughters, Betty Jean Gaydos, Redford, MI, Virginia Lynn Beane, Redford, MI; 2 Sons, James Scott Shoening, Columbia, MD, Daniel Howard Schoening, Redford, MI; 1 Sister, Margaret Connors, Novi, MI; 1 Brother, Howard McEwen, Ft. Wayne, IN; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
Rev. Mario Claro will officiate a graveside memorial service on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Franklin, WV.
