Mary Edith Baldwin, age 94 of Brandywin, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at her home. She was born on January 22, 1915 in Brandywine to the late  Timothy T. and Lona Hoover. She attended school at theh Broad Run – one room school. She was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Brandywine. Mary was united in marriage to Edward Seymore who preceded her in death in 1937. On December 13, 1937 she was united in marriage to Luther A. Baldwin who preceded her in death on June 28, 1987.
Ms. Baldwin is survived by: 2 Daughters, Loralee Gordon and Husband Rodger, Charlottesville, VA, Eleanor Simmons and Husband Richard, Brandywine, WV; 2 Sons, Vernon (Fuzz) Baldwin and Wife Betty, Brandywine and Luther Glenn Baldwin and companion Julie of Dayton, VA; 10 Grandchildren, Mona Reedy, Timothy Baldwin, Durwin Shull, Delbert Baldwin, Barry Gordon, Vernon (Dink) Baldwin, Jeffrey Simmons, Kenneth Simmons, Gregory Simmons and Douglas Marsh; 22 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren; 3 Sisters, Leola Snyder, Brandywine,WV, Naomi Michael, Brandywine, WV, and Velma Gillispie, Columbus, OH. In addition to her spouses and parents, Mary was preceded in death by: A Daughter, Nellie Gay Baldwin; A son, Delbert Gene Baldwin; A Grandson, Landon Glenn Baldwin; A Great-Great-Grandson; 2 Brothers, Roy Hoover and Herbert Hoover; 2 Sisters, Bessie Smith and Beulah Propst.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 1, 2010 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Rev. Harold Cullers will conduct funeral services on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Brandywine, WV. Memorials may be made to South Fork Volunteer fire Department and Rescue Squad.
