Wayne Joseph Niquette, age 60 of Petersburg, WV, passed away, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg. Born September 7, 1949 in Burlington,  Vermont, he was the son of Elma Lenora Emerson Niquette, Worcester, Massachusettes, and the late Joseph Max Niquette. Mr. Niquette was married to Linda Lee Niquette, who preceded him in death January 29, 2007. Wayne was a mechanic and truck driver, and also worked in the construction industry.
Besides his mother, Wayne is survived by one son, Charlie Niquette, Petersburg; five sisters, Nancy Semelmacher, New York, NY; Evelyn Law, Worcester; Carol Ray, Petersburg; Joann Ograbisz, Moorefield, WV; Linda Niquette, Worcester; one brother, Richard Niquette, Burlington, Vermont.
Besides his father and wife, he was preceded in death and one brother, Louis Niquette.
Pastors Matt Lyon and Steve Davis will conduct services at the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, Thursday, January 21, 2010, 6:00 p.m. Family will receive friends Thursday evening, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. prior to services. Burial of cremains at Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, will be private and at a later date.
