Roy Keith Lambert

U.S. Veteran

Roy Keith Lambert, age 89 of Circleville, WV, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born in Riverton, WV on November 17, 1924, the son of the late Roy Welton (July 21, 1987) and Edith Phares Lambert (April 2, 1990). On December 8, 1945, Keith married Idelta Rebecca (Sponaugle) Lambert, who survives in Circleville.

Mr. Lambert attended Circleville High School and was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. He retired in 1980 as a Cabinet Maker/General Manager from Annandale Millworks in Haymarket, VA. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and he loved farming.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lambert is survived by: 2 daughters, Charlotte Feagans and husband Steve of Circleville, Diane Aikens and husband Ronald of Woodbridge, VA; a son, Kenny Lambert and wife Melinda of Mt. Crawford, VA; a brother, John Lambert and wife Genevieve of Morgantown; 6 grandchildren, Cheryl McFarland, Gregory Feagans, T.J. Aikens, Brianna Aikens, Kayleigh Lambert, Allison Lambert; 5 great-grandchildren, Kory, Kaleb, and Kortlyn Feagans, Lauren and Cian McFarland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Robert and Harold Lee “Jim” Lambert; and a sister, Christabelle Poore.

Mr. Lambert's family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral home in Franklin. Rev. Earl Bible and Tommy George, Jr. will officiate funeral services on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, with military graveside services conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to: Circleville United Methodist Church, c/o Sadie Belle Propst or Gideons International.
