Albert Thomas "Tommy" Newcomb , age 84, of Snowy Mountain, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. He was born on December 17, 1936, in Rexrode, WV, the son of the late Dick Ward and Grace (Vandevander) Newcomb.

Mr. Newcomb graduated from Franklin High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tommy retired from Hanover Shoe Company and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Newcomb is survived by: a son, John Newcomb (Debbie) of Grottoes, VA; 2 sisters, Lois Gayle Long of Aberdeen, MD, Helen M. Arbaugh (Kermit) of Snowy Mountain, WV; a brother, Dorain B. Newcomb of Alliance, OH; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Ruddle, Teddy Hinkle, Jason Newcomb; 5 great-grandchildren, Makailyn and Ryelan Ruddle, Wyatt and Mason Hinkle, and Kyra Grace Newcomb . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Sandra Hinkle; a grandson, Joseph Allen Newcomb; a brother, Gene Newcomb; and 2 sisters, Beatrice Dove and Roxie Barry.

In honoring Mr. Newcomb's wishes, his body has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Blue Grass Cemetery in Blue Grass, VA, with Elder David Hartman officiating.
