Alma G Shillingburg, age 81, of Petersburg, WV, passed away at E. A. Hawse Health Care Center, Baker, WV. She was born on April 27, 1945 in Petersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Arlie Tom and Lottie (Nesselrodt) Berg. On February 8, 2015, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Bob” Shillingburg.

Alma graduated from Petersburg High School in 1965 and attended Petersburg Church of God. She loved her role as mom and homemaker that she had until her son left home. Not wanting to stay idle, she began working at the former Hesters in Moorefield before retirement.

Alma is survived by: a son, Robert Lee “Rob” Shillinburg II of Petersburg, WV; a sister, Lenora Groves (Marcus) of Hubbard, OH; 3 brothers, Leonard Berg of Maysville, WV; Leo Berg (Darlene) of Ferrum, VA; Donald Berg of Fayetteville, NC; 3 grandchildren, Samantha, Branson, and Kathryn Shillingburg; and a great-grandson, Princeton Almonte all of Monroe, NC. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lowell Berg; Rev. Glenden Berg; and 2 sisters, Juanita Berg; and Wanda Rexrode.
