Alvin Vincent Kimble,
age 80 of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on November 7, 1937, in Upper Tract, WV, the son of the late Olie Franklin Kimble and Viola (Harman) Kimble. Mr. Kimble is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annette (Shreve) Kimble, who survives in Upper Tract.
Mr. Kimble attended Schmucker School in Upper Tract and Brushy Run Church of God in Upper Tract. He belonged to the Laborers Union Local 984 for 40 years as a pipeline worker and in heavy construction. Alvin enjoyed flowers, gardening, hunting and spending time with his faithful friend, his dog, Rover.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son Bruce Kimble and wife, Susan, of Petersburg, WV; 4 Sisters, Wanda Showalter of Staunton, VA,
Mildred Riggleman, Elaine Keplinger and Kay Simmons all of Upper Tract; 1 brother, Reginald Kimble of Arthur, WV; 2 granddaughters, Beth (Todd) Heare and Amy (Derrick) White; 5 great-grandchildren, Evan Kimble, Grayson Kimble, Myla Heare, Rowan Heare and Cole White and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kimble's family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Cosner officiating.
Interment will be in Kline Cemetery in Kline, WV.
