Amanda Kay Hodges , age 46, of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. She was born on April 12, 1978, in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of Brenda Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, VA and the late Terry Richie Miller.

Amanda attended Harrisonburg High School and was a Methodist by faith. She had worked at Martin's and Flow Alkaline Water. Amanda was a free-spirited and strong-willed woman. She was compassionate and her smile was contagious. Amanda loved making memories with her family.

In addition to her mother, Amanda leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband, Byron Hodges of Glenville, WV; a daughter, Skyler Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, VA; 3 sons, Brice Pitsenbarger of Lacey Springs, VA, Bruce Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, VA, Cody Pitsenbarger of Harrisonburg, VA; 2 brothers, Braxton Durett of Mt. Solon, VA, Scottie Miller of Princeton, WV; 6 grandchildren; and 4 step-grandchildren.

Amanda's family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2024, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
