Andrew Eugene Heavener, Sr ., 62, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg. He was born on April 8, 1956, in Cabins, WV, the son of Mason G. and Maxine S. (Davis) Heavener of Petersburg. Andrew married his wife of 38years, Anita J. (Lamb) Heavener, who survives in Petersburg.

Mr. Heavener was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA, and he received his ASE Certification in Richmond, VA. Andrew loved riding motorcycles and traveling and he was a member of Odd Felllows of Petersburg, Mountain State Classics Car Club, and AACA. He had worked at Petersburg Motor Company and was currently employed at Central Tie and Lumber.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Heavener is survived by: a daughter, Angela C. Bowlsby (Alan) of Hampstead, NC; 2 sons, Andrew E. Heavener, Jr. of Wilkes Barre, PA, Glen W. Heavener of Petersburg; a step daughter, Bobbie J. Perez (Ricardo) of Clear Brook, VA; a step son, Jeremy P. Heavener of Pittsburgh, PA; 5 brothers, Danny Heavener of Maysville, Dean Heavener (Cindy) of Maysville, Mason Glen "Junior" Heavener (Kathy) of Manassas, David Heavener of Petersburg, and Tony Heavener of Petersburg; and 14 grandchildren.

Mr. Heavener's family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Bergdoll and Pastor Lynn Durbin officiating.
