Anna Elizabeth Wright , age 69, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born on August 10, 1953, in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of the late Roy Jesse Taylor and the late Frances Magdalene Wright.

Anna was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of the Emmanuel Chapel AME Church. She retired in 2013, as a Teachers Aide from Pendleton County Schools after more than 30 years of service, where she inspired many lives. Anna had a heart of gold and her passion was being "Grammie" and sharing her love with everyone, especially her children and grandchildren.

Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy: a daughter, Melissa Wright (Ann) of Shenandoah, VA; a son, Chad Wright (Tanya) of Franklin, WV; a sister, Valerie "Annette" Jacobs (Bruce) of Martinsburg, WV; a brother, Charles Wright (Laura) Hinton, VA; 6 grandchldren, Erin Simmons, Dreu, Zandra, Matt, Quincy, and Aliyah Wright; 8 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cameron, Kaden, Caiah, Easton, Hadleigh, Nikaela, Aerolynn; 1 great-great-grandson, Kaison.

Anna's family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2023, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, Anna's brother, Charles Wright officiating.
