Annabelle Varner, age 72, of Moorefield, WV passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Grant Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 27, 1948 in New Creek, WV, the daughter of the late, Ulysses Guy Keplinger and Nellie Mae (Groves) Keplinger.  Anna Belle married her husband of 34 years, Kenneth Roy Varner, on August 15, 1985 who survives in Moorefield.

Mrs. Varner attended school in New Creek.  She was a loving housewife and mother. Annabelle enjoyed tending to her many plants and was known to have a green thumb; she also liked collecting knick-knacks and unusual glassware. Mrs. Varner took pride in being a housewife and cooking for her husband, Kenny, and loved her dog, Wobbles.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Varner is survived by: 1 daughter, Andrea Marshall and husband, Charles Dixon, of Moorefield; 1 son, Gerald Wayne Kimble, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; 1 step-son, Melvin Russel Kimble and companion, Jessica Wilson, of Moorefield; 7 grandchildren, Jesse  Ray Phillips, Jr., Johnathon Harvey Phillips, Joshua Lee O'Neil, Traci Tyler Backus, Charles Dixon Marshall, II, Neveah Ketterman and Peyton Ketterman; 4 great-grandchildren, Zoey Marie Phillips, Kayleigh Jean O'Neil, Cambree Grace O'Neil and Ryan Lee O'Neil; Annabelle was one of 16 children, surviving her are 1 sister, Clara May (Keplinger) Kiddy of Parkersburg and 2 brothers, Donnie Keplinger and wife, Adaline, of Petersburg and Elwood Keplinger of Petersburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: 1 infant son, John Harvey Kimble and 12 siblings.

Per Mrs. Varner's request her body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home with Andrea Marshall officiating.
