Arlene Jean "Sis" Potter, age 78, of Sugar Grove, WV, formerly of Kent, CT, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1940, in Kent, CT, the daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve (Chase) Ackerman. Arlene was married to Milton Potter, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Arlene attended Housatonic Valley Regional High School. After many years of being a homemaker, she worked as a Home Health Aide. In 2009, she moved to West Virginia, where she worked for her good friend, Donna Ferguson at the Upper Tract Flea Market, and continued working as a Home Health Aide, until her illness 3 years ago. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she enjoyed family picnics, working jig-saw puzzles, scrap booking, going to tag sales in the North and yard sales in the South, and she loved watching the birds and deer from her front porch.

Arlene is survived by: a daughter, Joan Williams (Tim) of Kent, CT; a son, Earl "Rusty" Glass (Joanne Jasmin) of Sugar Grove, WV; 3 grandchildren, Tim Williams, Jr. (Sandra LaPlace) of Washington, CT, Samantha Willams (Matt Stevens) Hudson Falls, NY, Jonathon Glass of Moriah, NY; 6 great-grandchldren, Bailey, Gunner, Carter, Ellie, Gage, and Angelina; a brother, Gary Ackerman (Betty) of CT; her step children, John, Robert, Frank, Joseph, Elaine and William, all of CT; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Tasha. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Ackerman.
