Arvella Marie Turner, age 82,  of Onego, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 16, 1938 in Onego, WV, the daughter of the late John Alonzo Vance and Elsie Mallow. Arvella was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William J. Tuner on January 24, 2015.

Mrs. Turner graduated from Circleville High School in 1956. She attended the Bible Missionary Church in Onego. Arvella was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Turner is survived by: 1 daughter, Stephanie Cooper and husband, Andy, of Onego; 1 son, William Craig Turner and wife, Adra, of Onego; 2 sisters, Faye Chewning of Petersburg, WV and Violet Kimble of Upper Tract, WV; 1 brother, Kenneth Vance and wife, Bernice, of Baltimore, MD; 5 grandchildren, Shawn Turner, William Turner, Cotdy Evans, Wyatt Evans and Jarrett Evans and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Guy Vance and Eldon Vance; 1 sister, Opal Berg; 1 grandson, Heath Turner and 1 infant great-grandson, Zain.

Mrs. Turner's family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersuburg, WV. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Ewald officiating. Per her request Mrs. Turner's body will be cremated and inurnment will be at the Thompson Family Cemetery in Brushy Run, WV.
