Ashley Allen Bland, age 31, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1988, in Petersburg, WV, the son of Angel (Secrist) and John "Bill" Champ of Cabins,WV  and Orville Bland and Ann Peaytt of Onego, WV.  On May 29, 2015, Ashley married Katie (Reynolds) Bland, who survives in Petersburg.

Ashley was a 2006 graduate of Petersburg High School and was employed with Tenneco in Harrisonburg, VA as a welder. He loved welding, mechanical work, riding ATV's, being outdoors, and hunting.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ashley is survived by: 2 sons, Jared Bland and Lucas Bland both of Petersburg; 4 sisters, Misti Carpenter (Larry) of Cabins, Destiny Bland of Onego, Lisa Champ (Dana Miller) of Mathias, WV and Tiffany Mongold (Josh) of Upper Tract, WV; 2 brothers, Brenden Bland of Onego and Wes Champ (Holly) of Fort Seybert, WV; paternal grandparents, Gar and Velma Bland of Onego and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.

Per his family's request, Mr. Bland's body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from Noon-6PM at Shelter 3 in Brighton Park, Moorefield, WV .
