Beverly Joyce Guilford, age 90, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.  She was born on September 1, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Claude Anthony and Maude (Forsyth) Bradley.

Ms. Guilford graduated from high school in Stronghurst, IL, received an A.A. Degree from the Chicago Business School in Chicago, IL, and was a Methodist by faith.  She had worked for the President's Private Sector Survey (The Grace Commission) for President Ronald Reagan, a Systems Administrator at MCI AIRSIGNAL, Inc. in Washington D.C., a Supervisor/System Administrator for A.T. KEARNEY, Inc., and as a Personal Assistant for Colonel Dale D. Hogoboom in Virginia.  Beverly was known fondly as the queen of scrabble having rarely known defeat by anyone in the family who challenged her.  She always kept a clean and nicely decorated home.

Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memories:  5 daughters, Elizabeth Batson (Michael) of Upper Tract, WV; Marybeth Long of Front Royal, VA; Virginia Liggett (Tim) of Winchester, VA; Cindy Wheeling (Dave) of Haymarket, VA; Susan Enos (Eric Grandville) of Glenn Dale, MD; a son, Alvin Guilford IV (Jayne) of Browntown, VA; a sister, Barbara Siebenaler of Random Lake, WI; 9 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: 2 sisters, Gladys and Irene Bradley; 3 brothers, James, Louis, and Jack Bradley; a granddaughter, Cassie Marie Liggett; and a son-in-law, Douglas E. Long.

In honoring Beverly's wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in Browntown, VA at a later date.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com
