Bobby Gene Propst, age 83, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at this home. He was born on March 25, 1942, in Franklin, WV, the son of the late William Cecil and Beulah Mabel (Hoover) Propst. On April 26, 1972, Bobby married the love of his life, Rosa Lee (Ware) Propst, who survives in Brandywine.

Bobby attended Capito Hill School and had worked for Propst Logging, Vepco Dam, Rocco, and for Coolie Simmons. He was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church and attended Brandywine Baptist Church. Bobby took pride in his family and love making memories with them. He enjoyed hunting, WWE Wrestling, and watching westerns. Bobby had a huge heart and was always passionate about others.

In addition to his wife, Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory: a daughter, Angel Bodkin (Tommy) of Brandywine, WV; 2 sons, Bobby "Sam" Propst (Shelly) of Upper Tract, WV, Justin Lee Propst (Alena Mendoza) of Morgantown, WV; 3 sisters,  Hilda Moats (Albert) of McDowell, VA, Helen Raines of Franklin, WV, Carolyn Propst (Allen Bussard) of Franklin, WV; a brother, William Arlie Propst of Hot Springs, VA; 1 granddaughter, Kristin Bodkin (Andre Hanes); many friends who called him "Dad"; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Shirley Lambert and Anne Weese of Franklin, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, John Paul Propst; and 3 sisters, Annie Lou Propst, Betty Wolfe, and Wanda Roberts.

Bobby's family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Tim Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Propst Cemetery, Franklin, WV.
