Bonnie Lou Koontz, age 85, of Petersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center.  She was born on June 25, 1940 in Moorefield, WV, the daughter of the late Ernest and Thelma (Southerly) Crites.  Bonnie married her loving husband, Malin Koontz who survives in Petersburg.

Bonnie attended school in Moorefield and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for her family.  She cared for all their needs, often babysitting for many other children in their cozy home.  Bonnie enjoyed baking cakes and sharing her time, talents, and love with her precious family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory: a daughter, Linda Winebrenner of Petersburg, WV; 3 sons, Randall Scott; Chip; and Mark Koontz all of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Jim Crites of Petersburg, WV; 9 Grandchildren; and numerous Great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Shockey.
