Brenda Jean Russell , age 68, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1950, in Rock Hil, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Ray and Frances Lee (McPherson) Evans. Brenda married Joseph Russell, who preceded her in death in 2004.

Brenda attended high school in Baltimore, MD and had worked at General Die Finishing in Baltimore, MD and at Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield. She attended Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church, and she loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Russell is survived by: a daughter, Cathy Tavenner (James) of Petersburg, WV; 3 sisters, Linda Richardson of Baltimore, MD, Shirley Barr (Patric, Jr.) of Elizabethton, TN, Peggy Phillips of Smithfield, NC; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Mrs. Russsell's wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held in Broadford Lake, MD at a later time.
