Brian Jared Sites, age 39, of Morgantown, WV, formerly of Franklin, WV, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on August 7, 1986 in Elkins, WV, the son of Thomas F. Sites of Franklin, WV and Melissa Mae (Teter) Adams (Kirk) of Headwaters, VA. On December 10, 2022 Brian married the love of his life, Courtney Dawn (Brown) Sites who survives in Morgantown.
Mr. Sites graduated from Pendleton County High School in 2004 and Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy, OH. Brian was a pipe fitter and welder for UA Local 152 Plumbers and Pipe fitters as well as a welding instructor. He served his community as a volunteer fireman for Franklin Volunteer Fire Department and Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Company. Brian was passionate about the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, fishing with his wife, family and friends on the Great Lakes, and as a beekeeper, taking care of his many beehives. Brian touched many lives while he was with us and his legacy of service to community and love for his family will live on through his son and all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Brian leaves behind to cherish his memory: an infant son, Jared Beckett Sites; a brother, Thomas John Sites of Franklin, WV; a step-brother, Kyle Adams of California; a step-sister, Amanda Adams of Maryland; maternal grandmother, Rebecca Teter of Onego, WV; a brother-in-law, Charles Patrick Brown (Valerie) of Arthurdale, WV; and everyone that called him Uncle B; nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Eli, Lucy, Saylor, Marleigh, Reagan, Dillon. He was preceded in death by: a step-brother, Garrett Adams; In-laws, Lewis Charles Brown and Susan Eileen (Decker) Brown; paternal grandparents, William John and Sue Sites; and maternal grandfather, Randolph "Randy" Malcom Teter.
Brian's family will receive friends and family on Saturday, November 29, 2025, 12-2 PM, at the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, PA followed by A Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. A second service will be held in Brian's hometown of Franklin on Sunday, November 30, 2025, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, WV with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Sam Harper will officiate both services. Memorials in Brian's honor may be sent to Mt.
