Carla Jane Comb s, age 76, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Sentara RMH in Harriosnburg, VA. She was born on September 26, 1948, in Maybie, WV, the daughter of the late Ruby Jane (Watson) and Ronald Ray George, Sr. Carla married Scott Arthur Combs, who survives in Brandywine.

Carla attended Coalton High School and received her GED from Pendleton County High School. She was a member of Redeeming Grace Church in Brandywine and had worked at Wampler Food and she retired from Graham Packaging. Carla loved her family and her grandchildren had a special place in her heart.

In addition to her husband, Carla leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 sons, William Joseph Reilly and Dennis Lee Reilly both of Brandywine; a sister, Linda Ryan of Brandywine, WV; 2 brothers, James George (Ruby) of Mill Creek, WV, Ronnie George of Mill Creek, WV; 2 grandchildren, Katie (Eric) and Holly (Chris); and 9 great-grandchildren, Madison, Emma, Caleb, Evan, Jacob, Hayley, Lilly, Levi, and Layla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Victor George; and a sister, Sandra Helmick.

Carla's family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV, with Pastor Jason Boggs officiating.
