Carol Jean Morgan, age 65 of Franklin, WV, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born on April 27, 1953, the daughter of the late William and Jean (Riggleman) Morgan and the late Bernard Aronhalt.

Miss Morgan was a 1971 graduate of Ft. Hill High School and a 1977 graduate of Frostburg State. She received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Intervention from WVU in 2002. Carol had worked as a Kindergarten and Pre-School Special Needs Teacher at Franklin Elementary School for 36 years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, active in the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life), and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Miss Morgan is survived by: 2 sisters, Dawn Santmyire and husband Sean of Cumberland, MD, Lisa Ferrer and husband Michael of Laurel, MD; 2 nieces, Sierra Santmyire and Samantha Ferrer; 6 nephews, Grant, Kevin and Jacob Davis, Ashton and Jayce Santmyire, and Tyler Ferrer; a great nephew, Elijah Davis; and numerous friends who were like family that helped care for her throughout her illness.

Friends may pay their respects to Carol at the Basagic Funeral Home on Thursday, June 21, 2018, after 10:00 AM. Miss Morgan's family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sugar Grove, WV from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastors Jason and Jessica Felici officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Calvary Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society (Relay for Life, Pendleton County), or PAWS.
