Caroline Susan "Carol" Ellifritz, age 80, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Stonerise Keyser, WV, formerly Piney Valley Nursing Home. Carol was born on December 10, 1940, in Petersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Alfred Carl Ellifritz and Cathleen (Swick) Ellza. She was previously married to the father of her children, Robert Mullins, who survives in Petersburg, WV.

Ms. Elllifritz attended school in Baltimore, MD and was a Brethren by faith. She retired in 1996 from the Fairfax County School Board as a Building Supervisor. Carol enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, and the thrill of finding a good deal. She also enjoyed the company of her faithful companion and beloved dog, Rascal.

Carol is survived by: a daughter, Cindy Mullins, of Fairfax, VA; 3 sons, Eric Mullins (Jo Ann) of New Creek, WV; Tim Mullins (Trina) of Chantilly, VA; Robert Mullins Jr. (Linda) of Leesburg, VA; 2 sisters, Barbara Jean Sponaugle (Oliver) of Circleville, WV; Trela Kay Marmen of Lake Wells, FL; a brother, Gerald Lee Ellifritz of Abington,VA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: an infant brother, Charles Ellifritz; and 2 sisters, Charlotte Rebecca Mullins; and Anna Lee Self.

Ms. Ellifritz's family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11am in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Ron Little officiating. Interment will be in the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
