Catherine B. Cook , age 90, of Circleville, WV, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. She was born in Louisville., KY, on January 2, 1934, the daughter of the late Rev. Cary R. and Margaret (Minnich) Blain. On April 3, 1954, Catherine married Marshall Lawrence Larry Cook, who preceded her in death on August 9, 2016.

Catherine was a 1952 graduate of Circleville High School and had worked as an aide on school buses in Maryland for many years. She took pride in her family and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Catherine enjoyed working in her flower gardens and the joy of the beauty they provided.

Catherine leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Lucinda Rose Warner of Circleville, WV, Nancy Ann Rexrode (Larry) of Mechanicsville, MD; a son, Michael Cary Cook (Sandra) of Stuart, VA; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Miriam Short; and a brother, Waller Blain.

In honoring Catherine's wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home, with Pastor Fletcher Hutcheson officiating.  Inurment of cremains will be in the Rymer Calhoun Cemetery.
