Charles Lindbergh Foley, age 92 of Arthur, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Foley was born on May 7, 1927 in Arthur, WV the son of the late Joseph Berlin Foley and Grace (Kessel) Foley. On September 13, 1953, Charles married his wife of 66 years, Julia Juanita (Dayton) Foley who resides in Arthur.

Mr. Foley attended Arthur School House in Arthur and was a Christian by faith. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army serving bravely in both the Korean Conflict and World War II.  Mr. Foley worked for 43 years as a plumber with Melvin A. Barnhart & Sons and Vince Marino& Sons in Baltimore, MD  before returning to farm in Arthur. Charles was a member of the VFW Post #6454 and a former member of the NRA.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Foley is survived by: 4 sisters, Rose Nesslerodt of Keanresville, WV, Virginia Bean (Junior) of Sumerduck, VA, Karen Zirk (Gary) of New Creek, WV and Hilda Deperini of Myrtle Beach, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Foley is preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Foley.

Mr. Foley's family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Funeral services will be on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Lynn Durbin and Rev.
