Charles "Chuck" John Nelson , age 67, of Circleville, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his home. He was born on March 25, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, the son of Clara Johanna (Skotarski) Nelson of Franklin, WV, and the late Robert Jennings "Bob" Nelson.

Chuck attended schools in Baltimore, MD and had worked in construction. He was a member of the Romney Moose Lodge, Petersburg American Legion Post #78, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

Chuck is survived by: 2 sons, Richard Nelson (Mary Ann) Nelson of Franklin, WV, Charles Nelson (Danielle Mowery) of Circleville, WV; a sister, Darlene Cox of Culpeper, VA; a brother, Robert J. Nelson of Baltimore, MD; and 5 grandchildren, Callie, Jenna, Sarah, Katie, and Jace Nelson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: a son, Jason Nelson; and a brother, William Nelson.

Chuck's family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2019, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Melvin Falls officiating. Interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery, in Riverton, with Military Honors conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.
