Charles Virgil Kimble , Jr., age 71, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Charles V. Kimble, Sr., and the late Eleanor (Turner) Kimble Thompson. On September 10, 1966, Charles married Martha Lee (Ruddle) Kimble, who survives in Franklin.

Mr. Kimble attended Ruddle Presbyterian Church and had worked for Neilsen Builders for 30 years and was also employed by the Town of Franklin.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kimble is survived by: a son, Charles Lee Kimble and Fiance, Melinda Warner; 3 sisters, Marlene Harman and husband Elwood of Upper Tract, WV, Donna Hoover and husband Roger of Franklin, Debra Kimble and husband William of Upper Tract; 3 brothers, Danny Kimble of Franklin, Samuel Kimble of Upper Tract, and John Kimble of Petersburg, WV; a granddaughter, Shania Leanne Kimble of Franklin; and nieces and nephews, Tim Hoover, Michael Harman, Danny Pennington, Kerby Sponaugle, Nathan Kimble, Amanda Kimble, Brandie Hinkle, Danielle Kimble, Joey Kimble, and Ashley Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Joe and Anthony "Andy" Kimble; a brother-in-law, Leo Ruddle; and 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Kimble and Jackie Kimble.

Mr. Kimble's family will receive friends on Monday, June 11, 2018, 1-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
