Charles Wade Painter, age 80, of Norfolk, VA, passed away on October 28, 2019 at Depaul Medical Center in Norfolk, VA. He was born on November 29, 1938, in Onego, WV, the son of the late Noah Mason and Ethel Louise (Morral) Painter. On May 22, 1986, Charles married Sheila Ann (Landis) Painter, who survives in Norfolk, VA.

Mr. Painter was a graduate of Tarentum High School and had worked as a Machinist at Norship Company and Herman Corporation.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Painter is survived by: 4 daughters, Lori Ann Erwin of TX, Marsha Painter of FL, Pamela Fiorentino (Robert) of CA, Tara Walker of Chesapeake, VA; 2 sons, Craig Painter of FL, Andrew Walker (Lindsey) of Norfolk, VA; 2 sisters, Faye Fishburn of TN, Carolyn Williams (William) of SC; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, David, Paul, Carl, Boyd; a son-in-law, Manse Erwin; and a brother-in-law, Earl Fishburn.

Mr. Painter's family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2019, 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Greg Adamson officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV.
