Clarence Lloyd Mellon, Jr. , age 87 of Brandywine, WV, passed way on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 3, 1931, in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Clarence L. Mellon, Sr. and the late Doris Medlin Melllon.

Mr. Mellon attended Charlotte North Carolina Schools and Piney Grove Baptist Church in Concord, NC. He had worked for many years at Canon Mills where he operated a Slubbers Machine.

Mr. Mellon is survived by: a daughter, Terri Mellon and Donald Hatfield of Brandywine; a brother, Ruben Miller Mellon of Charlotte; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lawrence, Bud, and Eulan.
