Cleo Yvonne Congdon, age 75, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 after an extended illness at her home.  She was born on June 27, 1949, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Dana Bunyan and Stella (Holmes) McMillion.  On May 25, 1996, she married Jon Arthur Congdon who preceded her in death on November 24, 1999.

Cleo attended school in Baltimore, MD and had worked as a waitress in Marlington, WV.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge # 2233 and loved to travel as much as she could.   At times, she lived in Maryland, Florida, and Wisconsin, but always considered West Virginia her real home and where she spent the last years of her life.  As most West Virginian's do, Cleo enjoyed hunting and fishing.  She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Cleo's children want to thank everyone who knew their mother in life and ask that you remember her now that she has gone Home For Good.

Ms. Congdon leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Yvonne Carol Dye of Petersburg, WV; Pamela Watson of Adams, WI; a son, Lester Andrew Collins of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Roger McMillion of Hereford, MD; 10 Grandchildren; and 15 Great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Pauline Kettleson; Maye McMillion, Virginia Underwood; 2 brothers, Raymond and William McMillion.

It was Cleo's wish to donate her body to West Virginia University Medical Science.      A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com.
