Clifford Allen Bailey, Sr. , age 61 of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2018 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. He was born on April 23, 1957 in Fredrick, MD the son of the late William Baxter Bailey and Mildred (Oiler) Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie (Mercer) Bailey.

Mr. Bailey worked as a heavy machinery operator for Avanti Marble and Granite in Frederick, MD. Clifford loved gardening and fishing. He was always concerned for his neighbors and friends and was quick and willing to lend a helping hand. Clifford was a Christian by faith.

Mr. Bailey is survived by: 1 daughter, Christine Bailey of Frostburg, MD; 6 sons, Clifford Allen Bailey, Jr. of Charlestown, WV, Corey Bailey of Frostburg, MD, Anthony Curtis Bailey of Frostburg, MD, Gregory Allen Bailey, Joseph Bailey, and Nicholas Bailey all of Cumberland, MD; 1 sister, Jean Bailey, 1 brother, Lawrence Bailey of Westminster, MD, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his best friend, Sammy, his dog.

In addition to his wife and parents Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by: 1 brother, Sunny Bailey and 1 sister, Nancy Yingling.
