Dan Stephen McQuain, age 65 of Potomac, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Seasons Hospice in Baltimore, MD. He was born on October 17, 1952, in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Robert Hunter and Genetta (Dolly) McQuain.

Mr. McQuain was a 1970 graduate of Wintson Churchill High School in Potomac, MD and graduated from University of Maryland, after obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in 1974 and Master's Degree in Political Science in 1978. Dan was a member of the North Bethesda United Methodist Church and he retired after 14 years as a Computer Consultant for Verizon Communications.

Dan is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Hunter McQuain of Potomac, MD.

Mr. McQuain's family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30, 2018, 2-3 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
