Daniel Lee Payne , age 61, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1962, the son of the late Sherwin "Red" and Margaret (Kesner) Payne.

Dan graduated from Miami Trace High School and was employed by American Woodmark in Moorefield, WV. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting.

Dan leaves behind to cherish his memory: a brother, David Payne of Wilmington, OH; a niece, Kendra Baker of Chillicothe, OH; and a great-niece, Graelyn Baker.

In honoring Daniel's wishes, his body has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Kline Cemetery in Upper Tact, WV. Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com.
