David Clark Mowery , age 71 of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 1, 1948, in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Bruce and Betty Jo (Nelson) Mowery. David married Wanda Jean (Hatmaker) Mowery, who survives in Upper Tract.

Mr. Mowery attended Franklin High School and he retired from Pilgrim's Pride after 19 years of employment.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mowery is survived by: a son, David Clark Mowery, Jr. (Janeth) of Upper Tract, WV; 2 sisters, Carol Wilson (Larry) of Charlottesville, VA, Robin Jones (Tom) of Frederick, MD; a brother, James Mowery (Judy Thatcher) of Upper Tract, WV; and 2 grandchildren, Christian and Nahiara.

In honoring Mr. Mowery's wishes, his body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Cherry Hill Cemetery, with Military Honors conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.
