David Lloyd Wolfe, age 71, of Wellsburg WV passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home in Cabins, WV, following a battle with cancer.  He was born on March 21, 1953, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late William Wilford and Helen Jean (Herron) Wolfe. David married his loving wife, Catherine Lynne (Cook) Wolfe, who survives in Cabins.

Mr. Wolfe is a graduate of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, WV and began working for Weirton Steel, where he retired after 30 years.Needing a new challenge, David jumped at the opportunity to become the owner of German Beer Gardens in Bethany, WV  He began a new career at ISI (Integrated Systems Installations) Hydro Plant, before his complete retirement. David was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, and horseback riding among other outdoor activities.  David's life was full of many things that brought him joy, but his family will be his greatest legacy.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by: 2 daughters, Cierra Shane (Jeremiah) of Seneca Rocks, WV; Rebecca Wolfe of Steubenville, OH; 2 brothers, William "Bill" Wolfe (Kathy) of Weirton, WV; Timothy Wolfe of Elloree, SC; and 5 Grandchildren.  David was preceded in death by a son, David L. Wolfe, II.
