It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Davin Wyatt Dayton, age 26, of Petersburg, WV, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 following a short illness at Winchester Medical Center.

From the moment Davin entered this world on September 12, 1998, his smile could light up a room.  He was the loving son of Beth and Stacey Dayton, who enjoyed every moment of his life.  Davin attended Knobley Covenant Brethren Church and was an inspiration to all.  He was one who never met a stranger and showed his love by giving warm hugs and sharing gospel music.  Davin was a sweet soul who had immense love for his family and his dogs (especially his Labrador Retriever, Gunner).  He was frequently known to make everyone laugh with his animal calls and will be treasured by all who were fortunate to be a part of his life.  Davin will be remembered and deeply missed by his family as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Davin loved his brothers dearly, Dustin Dayton (Crystal) of Scherr, WV; Dylan Dayton (Carrie) of Petersburg, WV; the cherished grandson to Barbara Harris and Frank Lloyd.  He was an adored uncle to Wyatt, Ryleigh, Kaylee, and Wrenly Dayton; Alyc and Alye Ray; and Peyton Shillingburg.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Wayne Harris, Jim Dayton and Juanita Lloyd.

Davin's family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12-2 PM, at the Knobley Covenant Brethren Church, New Creek, WV.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastors Roger Leatherman and Shannon Earle officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o the Basagic Funeral Home POB 400 Petersburg, WV 26847.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
