Delbert Andrew "Deb" Mowery , age 69, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. He was born on June 30, 1950, in Franklin, WV, the son of the late Dayton and Edith (Streets) Mowery. On July 22, 1972, Delbert married Rebecca June "Becky" Mitchell Mowery, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2018.

Delbert was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High school and retired in 2003 from WV Department of Natural Resources. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Mowery was a member of the Christ Central Church in Upper Tract, WV, Upper Tract Rescue Squad, Pendleton County Tactical Skills Team, and a Charter Member of the Upper Tract Volunteer Fire Department, where he was active 54 years.

Mr. Mowery is survived by: a daughter, Amanda Shay "Mandy" Mowery of , Upper Tract, WV; a grandson, Andrew Dayton Clark Mowery of Upper Tract, WV; a sister, Nancy Sites of Upper Tract, WV; and a brother, Maurice "Tom" Mowery of Petersburg, WV. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Orville Coolidge Mowery and Gordon "Trig" Mowery; and 3 sisters, Mabel Flanagan, Viola "Toots" Shreve, and Thelma Leona Hedrick.

Mr. Mowery's family will receive friends on Saturday, September 28, 2019, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Stanly Kile and Pastor Mike Blankenship officiating. Interment will be in Kline Cemetery in Upper Tract, WV, with Military Honors conducted by Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.
