Donna Lee (Moyers) Simpson, 69, went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 18, 2026, in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born on August 6, 1956, in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of the late Curtis A. Moyers and Bertha (Pitsenbarger) Moyers of Franklin, WV.

On June 14, 1975, Donna married Larry G. Simpson. They are the parents of Tiffany Simpson and Rebeka Simpson, both of Harrisonburg, VA. She is also survived by: an older sister, Wanda Townsend; a younger brother, Andrew Moyers, both of Franklin, WV; one uncle; 2 aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donna was a member of Mt. Olive Presbyterain Church at Rawley Spring, VA and a former member of Franklin Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She had worked as a medical insurance clerk, a secretary, and receptionist.

Donna enjoyed traveling and had visited 46 states, 4 Canadian provinces, and Mexico. She was a fan of Daniel O'Donnell, the famous Irish Singer, and had attended his concerts in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. She also enjoyed eating out, watching TV, reading, and spending time with her family.

Donna's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Franklin Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Clover Hill Rescue Squad or any Pendleton County Rescue Squad.
