Donnie Gale Leggett, Jr., age 39, of Rainelle, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 2, 1987, the son of Janet Lynn (Jones) and Jerry Sutherland (Step-father) of Franklin, WV. On April 7, 2019, Donnie married Rebecca Dawn (Lee) Leggett, who survives in Cheraw, SC.

Donnie attended Doddridge County Schools and was a member of Redeeming Grace Outreach Church.

In addition to his parents and wife, Donnie leaves behind to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Brittany Fornash of Clarksburg, WV, Amber Carder of Charleston, WV; his grandmother, Linda Ryan of Franklin, WV; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his special buddy, Eric Watson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mathew Scott Leggett.

In honoring Donnie's wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date, with Pastor Jason Boggs officiating. Memories and words of comfort may be left atwww.basagic.com.
