Duane Scott Youngcourt Sr., age 72, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 21, 1954 in Hazleton, PA, the son of the late Sterling Arthur Youngcourt Sr. and Constance (Bennett) Youngcourt. On July 7, 2007, Duane married Sally (Remlein) Youngcourt who survives in Baltimore, MD.

Mr. Youngcourt served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Duane’s Boulevard Auto Body, where he spent many hours restoring vehicles for the community. Duane was a member of the American Legion Post #78, where he served as a former commander, and the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing, play a good game of pool, and celebrate with family and friends. Duane will especially be missed by his faithful canine companion, Isabella.

In addition to his wife, Duane is survived by: a daughter Diana Youngcourt Combs (Mac) of Maysville, WV; 2 sons, Daniel Youngcourt (Jackie) Baltimore, MD; Duane Youngcourt, Jr. (Debbie Gullett) of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Marie Youngcourt of Baltimore, MD; a brother Sterling Youngcourt, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; and a grandson, Devlin Rotruck of Maysville, WV.

In 1998, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy “Dottie” Youngcourt.

In honoring Duane’s wishes, his body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on November 14, 2026, 2:00 PM at the American Legion in Petersburg.
