Obituary

Earl David Armentrout, age 82, of Seneca Rocks, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.  He was born on July 14, 1942 in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Foster and Viola (Stonesteet) Armentrout.  Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Nelson) Armentrout on January 20, 2021.

Mr. Armentrout was a 1961 graduate of Circleville High School and was a member of the former Pleasant View United Methodist Church.  Earl was a certified welder, a professional concrete finisher, and retired from American Woodmark.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting for mushrooms, and playing cards with friends at Harper's Store.  He cherished moments spent with his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Earl is survived by: a step-daughter, Goldie Pearl Teter (James)  of Daytona, FL; 2 step-sons, Dan Kisamore of Seneca Rocks, WV; Craig Kisamore ( Paula) of Circleville, WV; a brother, Carl Armentrout (Patsy) of Seneca Rocks, WV; 5 Step-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Rohrbaugh and brother-in-law, Lincoln Rohrbaugh.

Earl's family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Theodore Bennett officiating.  Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
