Edward Coolidge Lyons, Jr, age 49, of Maysville, WV, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Petersburg, WV, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Petersburg, WV, on September 21, 1970, the son of the late Loretta Frances (Kline) Lyons Clark and the late Edward Coolidge Lyons, Sr. Edward was previously married to Donna Carr of Petersburg, WV.

Edward attended Petersburg High School and was a Christian by Faith. He loved riding his motorcycles and working on old cars. Edward owned and operated Big Ed's Garage in Maysville.

Edward is survived by: a son, Harley D. Lyons of Maysville, WV; a step son, Cody Bland of Maysville, WV; a step daughter, April Whetzel (Jeremy) of Petersburg, WV; 3 sisters, Charlotte Mongold of Mathias, WV, Leotie Heavener (Robert) of Maysville, WV, Loretta Mills (Wayne) of Baker, WV; and 7 step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a step grandson; a brother-in-law, Michael Mongold; and a sister, Cindy Lyons.

Mr. Lyons' family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 1-6 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. A private funeral service will be on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. Interment will be in Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
