Obituary

Erla Mae Ault, age 67, of Rawlings, MD, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on January 21, 1953 in Anne Arundel County, MD the daughter of the late Bertram Loyd Gary, Sr. and Ethel Jane (Harris) Gary.  Mrs. Ault was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Elmer Lee "Nick" Ault on July 21, 2005.  Surviving is her life partner James Wesley "Pops" Williams who resides in Rawlings, MD.

Mrs. Ault received her GED from South Branch Valley Vocational Center in Petersburg, WV and later attended Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.  She retired from Mountain Heart in Petersburg as an office assistant in 2016. Mrs. Ault was a faithful contributor to St. Jude and a past member of the VFW Women's Auxilliary. She was a loving, caring woman who never met a stranger and had a smile that would light your soul. Erla was a mother to many kids in the community and a Christian by faith.

Mrs. Ault is survived by: 3 sons, Nick Ault (Ashley Burns) of Petersburg, Josh Ault (Eugenia Lee) of Cumberland, MD and Joe Ault (Ashley Johnson) of Palm Bay, FL; 2 sisters, Colleen Vanskiver (Albert) Pasadena, MD and Gina Peters (J.R.) of Halethorpe, MD; 16 grandchildren, Haylea Ault LaBossiere (Reed Williams), Chase Ault, Cameron Ault, Ava Ault, Brandon Virts (Aisha Reed), Jordian Ault (Martin Goldizen), Bradan Ault, Daltan Ault, Aydan Ault, Connor Ault, Aaliyah Ault, Paige Ault, Adyson Ault, Tiana Ault, Allister Smink, and Athena Smink; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kimberly Goldizen and Opal Virts.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by: 1 foster daughter, Linda Lou Duckworth, 1 brother, Bertram L. Gary, Jr. and 1 sister, Shannon Gary.

In honoring Mrs. Ault's wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Basagic Funeral Home at P.O.
