Eugene "Cracker" Early Snyder, age 79, of Franklin, WV, and formerly of Fort Seybert, WV passed away on February 21, 2022, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.  He was born on January 13, 1943, the son of the late Robert and Effie (Reed) Snyder.

Mr. Snyder retired from the Poultry House of Steve Conrad and later volunteered at Pendleton Senior and Family Services.  Gene loved watching little league games, fishing, and watching old westerns.  He also enjoyed copying text from books into his beautiful handwriting.

Eugene leaves behind a brother, Leslie Snyder of Brandywine, WV and many friends including his special friends and caregivers Carolyn Wells and Kimberly Musser, both of Cabins, WV.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Jack Snyder; Paul Simmons and a sister, Christine Wine.

In honoring Gene's wishes, his body will be cremated and a private ceremony will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Pendleton County Little League at Pendleton Community Bank Att: Amanda Smith P.O.
