Frank Garth Harper , age 68, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 5, 1953, the son of the late Forrest Glenn and Nola Rebecca (Bland) Harper. Frank married Anita (Knight) Harper, who survives in Franklin, WV.

Mr. Harper attended Franklin High School. He had worked as a painter for Jerry Walls and in maintenance at the Potomac Valley Golf Course.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Harper is survived by: 2 step daughters, Betty Jo Tingler (Travis) of Franklin, WV, Carrie Lynn Southerly of Hinton, VA; a step son, Wayne Allen Southerly of Bridgewater, VA; 2 sisters, Madeline Warner Tusing of Dayton, VA, Kitty Harper Simmons (Jerry) of Bridgewater, VA; a foster sister, Nora Riggleman (Stark Puffenbarger) of Mt. Crawford, VA; and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Mr. Harper's family will receive friends and have a graveside service at the Harper Family Cemetery on South Fork Mountain, Franklin, WV on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Jason Boggs officiating.
