Fred Thardus McAbee , age 77, of Elkton, VA, formerly of Seneca Rocks, WV, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Sentara RMH in Harrsonburg, VA. He was born on April 16, 1944, in Elizabeth City, VA, the son of the late Thardus Ladson and Agnes Eloise (Bishop) McAbee. Fred was married to Kathy Verzich of Riverton, WV.

Mr. McAbee attended High Point High School in North Carolina and he was a Baptist by Faith. He had worked as a Plumber for Glick Plumbing.

Mr. McAbee is survived by: 2 sons, Jason McAbee (Erica) of Riverton, WV and Ben McAbee (Heidi) of Dayton, VA; 2 sisters, Diane Wilson of New Kent, VA and Judy Lincolnholker of Hampton Roads, VA; and 6 grandchildren, Caden, Josiah, Iylah, Mason, Kinley, and Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie McAbee.
